"Tell me love, would you still want me knowing that another's hands have been around my neck?
If you understood that when I have nightmares it's of fear from his disapproval?
If you knew the crippling fear I have of being alone, the scars I bare, and the secrets I dare never share?
Would you still want me knowing that when I was broken, I picked up my broken pieces to make him feel whole?
What if I told you my hands are ripped open from holding on to tight?
Would you still want me knowing the countless times I've fought for my life through the voices in my head?
If you knew my journey, the extent of the abuse, would you still want me, would you?"
